Hello,

Many times due to inserting the Q-tip too deep in the ear canal. There is perforation of the eardrum causing reduced hearing and also increased chances of ear infection. Greenish yellow drainage can be pus that is secondary to infection. So my suggestion is that putting the only peroxide will not resolve the infection. You should consult an ENT physician and get his ear to examine. He will advise a course of oral antibiotics along with antibiotic ear drops and along with it if needed ear will be manually drained of and pressure equalization tube will be placed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
