How Can Bloody Diarrhea Be Treated?

I have had diarrhea most of the day. Very violent. Lots of cramping and pain. I believe it is food poisoning. Anyway my bowels are empty. But I am still cramping and every time I go only blood is coming out of me. Bright red clots of blood. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hi,

However, prolonged diarrhea may require additional treatments, such as intravenous fluids and medications to reduce cramping in the bowels. In more severe cases of dysentery, a person may be given antibiotics or amoebicidal medications, or both if the exact cause is unknown.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
