How Can Blurred Vision Along With Mild Asthma Be Treated?

My daughter has mild asthma. She runs the 3200 and the 1600 in track. Yesterday during her 3200 she felt like her throat was closing up. She said it felt like she could not exhale enough to get a good breath. She kept running. Her chest began to hurt. At the end of the race, Her vision blurred, sound was muffled, and she had pins and needles in her arms. She was swaying on her feet and required assistance to get off the track. I could see her chest convulsing as she tried to get air in. She had used her inhaler prior to the race and used it again at this time. She said shedid not feel like she was able to inhale well enough for it to really help at that point. It took almost 25 minutes before her breathing was no longer visible from across the track. She has never experienced anything like this before. I know she was well hydrated before the race. Do you think this was an asthma attack?

Consult a physician and get evaluated.
