How Can Brain Tumor Be Treated?

Hi. My friend says she has 3 stage 4 malignant brain tumors, but is refusing treatment and says the doctors don t know what kind of cancer she has. She has had this for a year now and I haven t seen a decline in her health whatsoever. She also says she can t get medication through her insurance, so, I m worried she is lying. The only reason I m looking into this is because she had someone start a gofundme, but won t put her own name on it because she could lose food stamps. I want to believe she wouldn t lie about something like cancer, but things are not adding up. So my question is: Can you have 3 brain tumors and live without ANY treatment?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If she knows that she has four brain tumors, she must have had a brain imagining study. How does she know they are malignant? And if there has been no decline in her health, why did she have the brain study in the first place? Why does she need medicine?

Unless the tumors are very small it would be expected that she would have symptoms, such as:
-headache
- abnormal eye movements
-vomiting
-neck pain
-weak muscles
-difficulty walking

Perhaps if the tumors are benign (not malignant) and they do not increase in size, your friend might survive. It is imperative that she return to her doctors so they can determine what kind of tumor she has. Then they will know the best treatment she needs.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help.
