How Can Breast Cancer Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. One month ago I had a bilateral mastectomy with bilateral sentinel node biopsies. I was stage 2, grade 3, node negative, Her2-, Estrogen+ 90%, Progesterone+ 70%, oncotype DX was 24 and I am 48 years old. Would you recommend chemo?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Ductal carcinoma of breast in not dangerous particularly in your case as it is stage 2 and grade 3. Since the surgeon has removed completely as you mentioned that they did mastectomy with node removal. Now in my opinion CHEMOTHERAPY is very much important. So before making any decision, please consult an ONCOLOGIST and get it. Good luck.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Het Ram Bishnoi
