How Can Breast Cancer Be Treated?

my wife is just finishing therapy of triple negative breast cancer which involved chemo, surgery and radiation. Ct scans do not show evidence of any cancer and her lymph nodes were clear. The oncologist wants her to complete a 6 month regimen of xeloda for a shot in the dark just in case there are any cells still existing. What would you advise?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Six-month chemotherapy will be better to choose to prevent future recurrence. It is the widely accepted protocol even though the nodes are negative.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
