How Can Breathing Difficulty And Pain In The Chest Be Treated?

I have a friend with bad lungs, ocd ? She is struggling to breathe and has pains in the back of her chest. She has complained about favouring her right side when walking and refuses me to take her to hospital. She is resting now and I have reassured her but I am scared she is having a mild stroke or worse. Can you please give me some advice. Thankyou

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I need to know the age of the patient and about her habits like smoking. You say she is having breathlessness, which suggest a chest disorder. Does she have frequent cough too? Pain in the back of the chest is more towards obstructive diseases and also because of trauma at times. I would suggest you to get a chest X-ray PA view done and start with SABA like Salbutamol and a painkiller for now. Follow up if the patient has symptoms again.

Hope this clarifies your concerns. Thank you for the query.

Take care
