How Can Breathing Difficulty Be Treated After A Quadruple Bypass Surgery?
I am 65 and had quadruple bypass surgery on 12/21/16 following a cathaterization. Luckily I didnt have a heart attack and everything went well. I m in my 7th week of cardio rehab. For the last several days I have been having trouble breathing off and on. I took a zirtec but that didnt work and now have to resort to sleeping pills just to get to sleep. Its late and even that hasn t worked which creates more stress. Any help would be appreciated.
Without an exam, I can only give general information; especially in this particular case because there can be quite a lot of serious problems causing 'breathing problems'.
Heart failure or near heart attack or heart problems or blood clots can cause a lack of blood going out of the lungs, the lungs having increased blood pressure and this can cause fluid in the lungs that can be rapidly fatal.Or the lungs can be a bit irritated or a bit of sinus drainage or quite a lot of other issues. and in someone with known heart trouble, basically, it always has to be looked into.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
