hello there,
we need to know if he keeps his mouth open while sleeping or there is noisy breathing, does he has fever, cough, running nose.
kindly get his oral cavity and lungs examined by a pediatrician personally and if required blood work up can be done.
till then continue the antihistamine suggested by the nurse, after feeding don't put the baby to sleep directly on bed. keep his head part raised while lying down, continue breast feeding.
regards
