How Can Breathing Difficulty In An Infant Be Treated?

My nine month old can hardly breathe at night because of the cold. His coughing is chesty (i guess folks call it a wet cough) but his nostrils are blocked so the combination is ghastly. I put saline drops in his nose the use the nasal aspirator to remove as much mucus as I can. He was taking bisolvon but it kept getting worse. Took him to the doc today he gave him amoxil and paracetamol liquid. Poor child is still finding it hard to breathe and I don t know how else to get his nasal cavity cleared and the cough sounds like he s choking on mucus. HELP!!!!
