How Can Bronchiectasis Along With Acid Reflux Be Treated?

I have bronchiectasis and continually have what I call gurgling and continual mucous to clear from my bronchial tubes. I also have acid reflux and take 20 mhm of Pepcid twice a day. I have gotten laryngitis from the constant coughing and clearing. Does acid reflux also cause laryngitis ?

Hi,

Severe acid reflux can cause laryngitis. You can consider antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persists, better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
