How Can Bronchitis Be Treated?

Hi. I ve been under the weather for three weeks now. Saw a doctor who diagnosed bronchitis - took one series of antibiotics which I completed two weeks ago It s still hanging on - still coughing - and running body temperature of about 96.6 degrees. Don t feel too sick now but wondering if I should see my doctor again.

A humidifier or steam can also help. Your doctor may prescribe medications to open your airways and reduce wheezing and inflammation. A cough syrup may also be prescribed. Antibiotics are not used to treat acute bronchitis, since they don't work against viruses.
