How Can Brownish Splotches On The Forearms And Calves Be Treated?

hi, I have blotchy, brown splotches on my inside forearms and calves. They are non-itch, not scaly, irregular shaped, flat (non raised), and superficial. I ve noticed them over the past ~7 days, although not sure when they started. I am not on anti-biotics, and have been on my existing meds for months (atarvostatin 40mg, Lovaza, Diliatasm (topical gel), losartan-hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg). I ve not noticed any bug bites or other external causes. Thoughts?

Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed a superficial fungal infection.
It usually presents with itch but can be asymptomatic.
I treat such cases with a topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole to be applied twice daily for a month.
You can try this in consultation with your doctor.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thanks
