How Can Bulging Discs In The Neck Be Helped?

I am 53, and have been diagnosed with some bulging discs in my neck. I have an emg scheduled for next week. I am having constant pain, tingling and numbness in both my arms and hands, it is very bothersome. is this something to be concerned with? Can anything help?
