Hello, I have some bumps on my groin about an inch and a half above the shaft of my penis. They kind of look like skin tags but there s around 10 of them growing in close proximity of about an inch. None of them are bigger than a pin head. They don t hurt or itch and do not appear to be filled with puss. Also they scrap off fairly easily. I got checked for genital warts and they said that not what they are as they are not scaly of have a cauliflower looking top. The doctor suggested it may be a fungal infection and gave me some anti-fungal cream. It is a tricky place to apply the cream because it just rubs off. Any ideas as to what it may be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history you are having skin tags, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it to prevent infection.
4. Only curative treatment is cauterization or laser ablation done by a dermato-surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
