How Can Burning Sensation During Bowel Movement Be Treated?

Hello. I am 54 and have completed Colon cancer treatment in the past 18 months (Chemo/Radio therapy in December 2015 and surgery in Oct 2016). I had a stoma bag fitted for 3 months which was removed in Jan 2017. Ever since my life has been hell. Although I am going to the toilet for many hours a day the worst part is what feels like acidic discharge (usually towards the end of the session) which is killing me. Have seen 3 consultant Gastenteroligist and all of them deny there is such thing as acid in the colon?? Can you please please please help??

Hi,

* As per my surgical experience, the issue sounds to post radiation fibrosis responsible for burning during bowel movements.
* It is recommended to undertake a re-evaluation colonoscopy from your gastroenterologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
