How Can Cancer Be Treated?

My Dad was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer. They are reluctant to operate him due to his age (77). I have seen the case when a woman of about the same age was successfully operated on 5 years ago. She lives a normal life nowadays. Question: should we insist on operation or the doctors know better ?

It depends on type of cancer. Usually age is not contraindications for cancer surgery so you are probably in hospital which dont have resources to do it. SO you could find second opinion.
