How Can Cellulitis Be Treated?

I have cellulitis. I have been taking oral antibiotics and using an antibiotic cream. It still looks bad after 3-4 weeks. On my leg... I know an IV might be helpful but it is inconvenient now. I will be going out of town in a week for a week or two. What do you recommend?

Hello and welcome to the HealthCareMagic!

If cellulitis does not improve with oral antibiotics, then it is a cause for concern.
You need to be given at least an IV antibiotic course for 7 to 10 days.
After daily dressing and oral antibiotics are prescribed, please consult a general surgeon for this.

Hope this helps you.

Take care
