How Can Cervical Pain Be Treated?

I have a bulging C2 with a lot of pain up into my head, and it radiates around in my neck, does it control any functions with the eyes? I ve had my C4 C5 C6 done, there is no curvature of my neck, it s totally straight so I have alot of pressure, what does the C2 connect to? What nerves are connected through there?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in the cervical vertebra can cause dull pain at the base of the head or skull. C1, C2 and C3 control the movement of the head and form the connection with the spinal cord and the rest of the body. Injury or lack of proper function of these vertebrae can cause limited head and neck movement, complete paralysis of the arms and legs, compromised incontinence and muscle atrophy.

Get examined, consult a physiotherapist and take NSAIDs or Acetaminophen to get rid of pain and discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
