How Can Changes In The Color And Shape Of The Areolas Be Treated?
Hi, I recently noticed that only one of my areolas has changed colour and shape. It seems that the top half has had no changes but the bottom is more faded in colour now, it does not react to the cold as it usually would and overall the areola seems longer in shape than the second one due to not reacting to cold temperatures or touch. It also seems less sensitive when touched but in an uncomfortable way, as if it s slightly irritated. I am 18, no pregnancy before. I am on the pill to prevent menstrual issues but have been taking them for a year or so, so don t think it is the reason.
Because of hormonal imbalance or having medication for menstrual problem can also trigger this problem. But, I will advise you to visit your gynecologist and have her/his opinion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
