How Can Chest Pain And Swelling On The Face Be Treated?
Hi there i went down to the hospital about 4 days ago because my tonsils were swollen an thought I had strep throat but they said that I didn t but that they are inflamed an infected so they gave me 4 doses of an experimental steroid an since then I haven t been able to eat anything period because half of my face is swollen an the whole left side is swollen an ive been having bad pains in my heart an the pain in my chest gets worse when I take medicine an I wake up every 20min to a half hour what should I do? I m really tired of laying around in pain not being able to do anything
Swelling after using a medication usually occurs due to an allergic reaction and steroids are used to treat allergic reaction, because they suppress or prevent allergic reaction it is unusual to have a reaction to any steroid but persons react differently to medication.
It may be best, since you are having chest pain, to see your doctor for an assessment to rule out heart disease as a cause. This would involve physical examination and investigations such as an EKG.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
