How Can Chickenpox Be Treated?

Hi my 4 yr old son got chicken pox on friday and took him to a doctor on Saturday . Dr advised to see a Dr if it turns bLack . The blisters are turning black . Do I need to worry. He only has few blisters and is generally well and the blisters are not itchy

Hi,

You can use menthol powder to keep the spots dry and cool to relieve itching. Also can use antihistamines such Benadryl or Cetirizine or Ketotifen for itching. Don't wash him because the spots may get infected.
