How Can Cholesterol Levels Be Controlled?

ALKALINE PHOSPHAT 177.2U/l GAMMA GLUTAMYL TRANSF(GGT) - 381U/l ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSF(SGOT ) 58.7U/l ALANINE TRANSAMINASE (SGPT) 146.7U/l CHOLESTEROL - 276 Range 125-200 Please advice. I just did a regular check up and these results came up. I consume alcohol regularly and smoke as well. Age 34 Male.

Hi, welcome to HCM, Yes your cholesterol is high. But more importantly your liver enzymes are disturbed. You do need to give up alcohol and smoking. You are only 34 years. Let this serve as a warning to prevent future problems. Also attain ideal body weight, eat a balanced meal and exercise daily. Consult your doctor for cholesterol and liver medication. Regards
