Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 28 years unmarried girls. Facing pimples and acne problem since my teenage. One friend suggest me Deriva-CMS gel (Clindamycin Phosphate Gel) and another friend suggest me Hexilak gel (Allium Cepa Extract, Heparin Sodium and Allantoin Gel). I am very confused. I have lots of dark marks and red pimples on my face. Specially on mt cheek and chin area. Can you suggest me which gel is better. Thanks in advance.
As per your query, you have symptoms of chronic acne on the face which occurs when a pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with debris, bacteria, and dead skin cells.
I would suggest you exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based Exfoliant. You should wash your face using a clindamycin gel with mild soap and lukewarm water. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. Apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil to lighten the pigments.
If the condition does not improve in a week, then consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis. The doctor may prescribe chemical peeling and laser therapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
