Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, last time that I had bowel movement was on Last Sunday. I was shopping and suddenly I felt I had to go bathroom immediately. The pee was normal but I saw a little blood on the toilet paper. Since then I did not had any bowel movement. I feel full but I feel I have constipation now. I ate dry plum but it did not help. I am traveling on Friday and that makes me worried. Is there anything I can do? should I see a doctor before I leave?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic constipation which seems to be due to inadequate fibres in diet and due to poor food intolerance and digestion.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Drink one spoon of honey in warm water daily.
- Take diet rich in fibres and avoid sharp and spicy food intake.
- Add laxatives in diet and apply esbogol as well around anal area opening.
I would advise you to consult gastroenterologist once and get examination done like complete blood count, stool examination, and colonoscopy examination. Doctor may prescribe you traditional drugs like lactulose, milk of magnesia and cremaffin or bisacodyl tablets.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
