How Can Chronic Constipation In An Infant Be Treated?
My daughter is 7 months old, I m breastfeeding and started introducing foods about 6 weeks ago as per my pediatrian. She has averaged about 2 bowel movements a day, but has been constipated for 2 days. She had one small hard bowel movement last night, but it was painful. The pediatrician told me to give a little baby prune juice, baby prunes and pedialyte, which I did today, but she is still straining and crying and only small hard pebbles come out. Is she too young to use a glycerin suppository?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. At this point you can use microclisma pediatric for kids and infants because you can t let her in pain anymore. You can apply it yourself. Hope I have answered your query.
