How Can Chronic Cough And Breathing Difficulty Be Treated?

I was just diagnosed with Acute Bronchitis, the worst part is first thing in the morning, when I wake up and cough for the first time I am gasping for air, it feels like I am choking, and can t breathe. Is there anything I can do to avoid this from happening.

Hi Dear ,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic cough and breathing difficulty which seems to be due to lung infection and bronchospasm. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult pulmonologist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test and get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants and steam inhalation and take rest. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
