How Can Chronic Cough And Breathing Difficulty Be Treated?
My son has a very bad cough. It is so much mucous he has a hard time coughing everything out and it scares him not to be able to breath. I am concerned about pertussis since there was a case at my school where I teach 3 weeks ago. SHould I take him in to get seen?

There are many reasons that cause chronic cough.It can be allergical,infective etc.
I suggest you to see your doctor for a :
-physical exam
-chest X-ray
-a spirometry
-blood tests for allergy
In this way is a lot easier to find the cause of the cough.
