How Can Chronic Cough And Headaches Be Treated?

I keep having severe coughing attacks. I will cough so hard I will choke, and can barely take a breath or speak. I have lingering headaches and chest pain with this as well. I am at a loss on ideas of what could be going on. it used to only be about once a week, but this last week has been 3 times. any ideas or direction for me? thank you in advance. - Jennifer

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your respiratory issue.

As per your history of episodes of severe cough (non infectious), it seems to me, it can be because of the allergic reaction to some stuff.

Head ache may or may not be associated to it.

You need to visit an general physician on the day when the cough episode happens, because the allergic signs are short lived and heals of its own, as in your case.

For mild head ache, you can go to get your refraction error of your eyes done, or check yourself if it happens on the exertion days or is related to blood pressure.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions to be answered. Also provide your valuable feed back so that we will continue improving our services.
