How Can Chronic Cough And Vomiting Be Treated?

Not sure of the specialty for dr. Bad cough. choking and near throwing up. I am 79 yo. diabetes1, A fib. Not used to coughing this way. Can t catch my breath when I do. Feel faint. Normal temp. My e-mail is VALID !! Not at home, visiting son in no. California. I live in So. California, Seal Beach

Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Drink plenty of liquids
-Rest
-Use nasal saline sprays
-Use cough suppressants or mucolitics depending if the cough is dry or with mucus
