How Can Chronic Cough Be Treated?

I had a cold and after fifteen day have developed in a very dry cough, my doctor prescribed me solupred 20mg and atarax 25mg but it seems that they didn t work ,tough I should say that I only had them for three days ,can you help explain ,how the tablets work , thankyou

.Thank you for trusting HCM

Doluored(prednisone) and atarax(hydroxyzine) both act up suppressing allergic reaction.Prednisone will also reduce inflammation and bronchospasm which triggers coughing.
You can also take asthalin 4 mg thrice daily to relieve bronchospasm. Also, use a cough syrup containing dextrometoephan.
