Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a really bad cough, I'm very congested, I keep throwing up, but only in my mouth, and I keep getting overly hot and overly cold. I have not gotten a temperature of over 100 degrees, so I don't have a fever, but I'm noticing that I have a lot of the symptoms of the flu. Could I have the flu if I don't have a fever?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic cough which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection leading to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid use of sharp and spicy food substances. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should start with course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications. Your symptoms will resolve in 1 week. if symptoms keeps on persisting you should consult ENT specialist and take proper treatment. You should get X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 5 days along with decongestants and mucolytic agents.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
