How Can Chronic Cough Be Treated?

I have bad caugh for several months. Dry caugh, usually I get it every winter for the last several years and goes away once the weather worms up but this year still have it, I took a buff, no help, over the counter dry caugh mixture, helps for an hour or so. Please let me know what you suggest Thank you

Hello,

It seems that you are suffering from a seasonal allergy, allergy testing for that can be done. You can have seasonal bronchitis that can lead to a dry cough. For that, immunotherapy can be beneficial.

When a cough occurs, CBC can be done and If AEC high, then Fexofenadine plus Montelukast combination drug can be prescribed. Avoid excess cold exposure and room heater or warmer can be used.

Consult a pulmonologist specialist in allergy testing can be consulted for examination.
