General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Chronic hepatitis require long term management.
You can ask following medicine for your gastroenterologist:
New protease inhibitor: ledipasvir and sofosbuvir

PEG IFN plus ribavirin: for all HCV genotypes.
Treatment also depend on genotype of HCV.
For genotype 1: protease inhibitor
HCV genotype 4: PEG IFN–ribavirin therapy
HCV genotypes 2 and 3: PEG IFN-α2a weekly plus ribavirin
Hope this may help you
Best regards
