Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Regarding chronic knee pain in both knees, I have had for years and undergone three series of cortisone and an injection of Hyaluronan with no decline in knee pain nor joint discomfort. X-rays have only shown arthritic conditions and over the counter or prescribed medications do not help much. Limitations to PT, daily walking, bending, climbing stairs, etc. gets worse by the day and the past two years have only increased in my discomfort. My current physician says I am too young (51) for knee replacements. Any additional steps I can take or seek a second opinion to my problem?
