How Can Chronic Rhinitis With Right-sided Stuffy And Runny Nose Be Treated?

I have had Chronic Rhinitis since returning to Jacksonville, FL 3 years ago. While I lived in Atlanta for 20 years, the Rhinitis, Sinus and Asthma went away. Since returning I take Flonase, Cingular, nasal decogestant and use a NetiPod. My right eye is always tearing and right now it is tearing, my right side of my face is swollen, stuffy nose and runny nose only on right side. I am misearable. Please help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Chronic rhinitis is difficult to be treated. I would recommend using nasal antihistamines. I would also recommend using oral antihistamines to relieve the symptoms.

Prescription products such as Astelin can relieve symptoms of postnasal drip, congestion. I would recommend you to consult an ENT specialist for the prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
