How Can Clogged Ears Be Treated?

My symptoms are a productive cough, one clogged ear, and a lot of nasal mucus. I had a sore throat, but it only lasted about 3 days. I can breathe through my nose, but I am constantly blowing it. I am into the 3rd week of this. The cough is better, but still wakes me up at night. I have tried Mucinex, Theraflu, Debrox, and Nyquil. The Debrox has not helped, but I ve only used it twice. The only symptom that has not improved is the clogged ear.

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of clogged ears which is due to ear infection, wax buildup, and eustachian tube dysfunction.

Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to visit the Otolaryngologist/ ENT specialist once and get it evaluated and start treatment after proper examination. Apply warm compresses on ear and avoid excessive bending forward. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with Ibuprofen. You should put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. Get all the lab tests done and complete examination with otoscope. You should take proper rest. Try to avoid pricking it with any sharp object. You should avoid sleeping on this side.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
