Hello,
I doubt that you still have water in your
ear canal as that is a finite tube that is closed at one end with the
eardrum.
The sensation of water in the ear and that it is blocked can be from
eustachian tube dysfunction (the tube that connects the middle ear to the throat - which is what feels blocked up during allergies, a
cold, or aeroplane landings), and sometimes a middle
ear infection.
It does not sound as though there is a need for worry from something that can't resolve, but at this point, I do recommend that you go in to see a doctor who can look inside your ear canal to see definitively what is going on.
So - don't worry, but do go in, as you have done all you can.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh, General & Family Physician
