How Can Clonus Be Confirmed?

my neurosurgeon never said anything about me having clonus (but i have hoffmans signs), but I went to physical therapy and they said i have 2-3 beats so I have clonus as I think true clonus would be more beats. I think that is wrong, but I wanted to see if you agree? I haven't been to my neurosurgeon in about 6 months, so was wondering if something has changed?
