How Can Coccyx Pain Caused By Injury Be Treated?

Oct 19, 2010 I slipped and fell on our basement steps. I pretty much landed on my left butt cheek which brusied later & smacked both elbows when I fell also. I got up and did not have any tailbone pain etc. Thank God for that. About 2-3 weeks later I started to have pain on the right side of my coccyx. It does not bother me to walk, run etc. Only when I sit too long. I had an exray done by my dr. & there is no fracture. It stays about the same & hasn't improved in the past six months. Not sure what to do next. What puzzles me is that it didn't hurt after the fall but later. I am not sure what my next step is & if I need to see a speicalist, what kind. vicky
