How Can Cold And Cough Along With Soreness In The Neck Be Treated?

My daughter has been fighting a cold with cough, sore neck, swollen neck and mild balance issues. I took her to the doctor 2 weeks ago and he said the sinuses and ears were clear but did a blood test that showed an elevated white count so he put her on antibiotics. She has been getting better with just a nagging cough but came home from basketball practice after vomiting and swollen and sore neck.

Hello,

It can be due to upper respiratory tract infection. So, you might have to be treated with antibiotics like Ampicillin or Augmentin drug for 5 to 7 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
