How Can Cold And Cough Be Treated?
I have this cough/cold virus that is going around. Had it for a week and went to Dr. He said ears, throat, lungs etc clear and it just takes time to get over it. Several days have passed and still feel so sick but using mucinex which helps. Sometimes a hard cough brings up blood laced mucus. Why?

Most seasonal cold and cough are related with viral infection, generally it recover with in about 7 days.
The measure you can take in home :
1.warm water with salt gurgling.
2.Menthol mixed with warm water take vapour.
3.Take lemon juice , vitamun c containing fruit.
Medication :
1.some anti histamine will helpful , like chlorpheniramine, loratadine.
2.Paracetamol for headache and bodyache.
why blood mixed mucous : You have 4 days problem, so most probably its due to vigorous coughing.
But long time duration of coughing out blood mucus ,must to evaluate for other infection.
