Hi.. my lo is 1yr old... she is having cold and coughs since 2 days... my doctor suggested me to give lecope (levocitrizine) 2.5 ml... But by mistake i gave her 10ml...and immediately i made her vomit .. am so worried... plz tell me will it cause any side effect...
Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant have symptoms of cold and cough which is due to chest infection and it could be due to throat infection as well. Need not to worry. Avoid giving child any cold carbonated beverages. Avoid giving any outside food to child. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined completely like throat swab test a, blood test and get X-ray chest done. Well if she vomit immediately then there is no need to worry . Start treatment after proper examination. Start treatment after proper diagnosis is made out. Till then take proper course of antibiotics to you. Take steam inhalation , which will be very helpful .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
