General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
The description you have provided suggest the possiblty of ARI(Acute Respiratory tract Infection). Its quite common in infants and complete cure is possible if timely treatment is given.
The X-ray finding suggest the features of initial stages of respiratory tract infection may be pneumonia.
I suggest you to consult a good pediatrician and do the following things
1.Do a repeat X-ray to assess the severity and progress of illness.
2.Baseline investigations like CBC(complete blood count) and urine routine examination.
3.You can give paracetamol syrup dose of which depend on weight of the kid.
4.Tepid sponging with Luke warm water to decrease body temperature.
5.Nasal decongestants can be given if signs of nasal obstruction is present.
6.Antibiotic therapy may be needed depend on clinical severity of the disease.

Hope this information helps.
Regards.
