Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 14yo daughter had a cold, sore throat. no fever or vomiting last night she got in the hot tub and came out with a rash. she was feeling better today and when she got in the hot tub again after school it reappeared and was a lot worse. she has some swelling in her face and lips which is slowly receding.
signs of anaphylaxis. allergic source must be related to some kind of soap or any thing near to bathing area which may trigger. if facial swelling and swollen lips occur again ,it may involve respiratory muscles which causes breathing difficulty. so kindly have a speed dial of emergency health care. try to change the bathing items ,cosmetics and if coinciding with particular food. try to find out and avoid. try to take a opinion from dermatologist for further prescription of antihistamines or anti allergic medications.
