General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello,
Your child should be assessed for asthma or allergic bronchitis. She needs lab tests as Hb, TLC, DLC, ESR, and chest x-ray and spirometry.
As there is red like blood in the eye. Sometimes-violent attack of cough gives rise to rupture of the minor blood vessel so bleed. If no impairment of eyesight it will recover by itself. Frothing at the mouth is related to respiratory problem. See a chest physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Varinder Joshi
