General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems you have developed an allergic bronchitis. You have to take an antihistamine like tablet Levocetirizine twice daily for seven days to control the symptoms. Along with it, you can take cough lozenges to soothe your throat.

If you don't get relief by these, then you may have to take a cough suppressant containing antitussive. If the cough turns productive that means you have developed a bacterial infection and in that case will have to take a course of antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma Amman
