How Can Cough And Cold Be Treated?

i just went to to urgent care yesterday for a cold and cough that is not going away. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and given antibiotics to treat it. I have been coughing a lot for about 6 days and have noticed my jaw and neck area are swollen is this normal because of all of the coughing and irritation?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Some advice that I can give to you is:

- Continue with the antibiotics.
- Get plenty of rest.
- Drink lots of fluids, this helps prevent dehydration and thins the mucus in your lungs, making it easier to cough up.
- Treat headaches, fever, and aches and pains with Paracetamol or Ibuprofen drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
