How Can Cough And Fever Be Treated?
I got a virus from my grandkids -- they had coughs and fever. I have felt sick for over a week, hoarseness, low grade fever (100.8 tops), and a bad cough. Went to Little Clinic on Saturday and they gave me Z PAC and a noncodeine cough medicine. Day three of Z PAC and it seems to do nothing. At night, even with cough meds and lots of honey and warm drinks, coughing fits last as long as an hour. Any thoughts?

Hi,
Your symptoms suggestive of acute laryngitis infection. For that compete the course of antibiotic. It's advisable to take a decongestant course as well like Levocetirizine.
Kindly mention whether your cough is dry or wet. If it is troublesome dry cough than Dextromethorphan tablet or syrup can be prescribed.
