How Can Cough And Throat Congestion Be Treated?

I had a bad cough and head congestion 3 weeks ago. However, everyday I feel like I have a great deal of mucus in my throat that I can t clear. I cough frequently, but it s not productive. It s hard to sleep because of this condition as well. I have, in the past, been treated for laryngeal reflex, but it had been much better over the last couple of years. What can I do to improve this - it s causes a lot of discomfort and difficulty even swallowing. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Hello! I think that you have a laringeal inflamation again. You have to evitate the agents such as the cold air, smoking, speaking too much etc. You can take twice daily tablets or sirup ketotifen and use nebulizator with Physiologic Solution 0.9%. If you have no any nebulizator, you can do vapor with Vicks pomade boiling in watter ( 10 ml in 500 ml water) If you have cough and faver, you have to take antibiotics. I recomend Clarithromycin 2*500 mg daily for 7 days. I wish you all the best!
